A new award for the Hotel Mariandl … well-known beyond the borders of the Bavarian forest – it belongs to the most popular and best hotels in the region and was awarded by guests to the most popular 3-star hotels in Germany several times. Congratulations and compliments were personally handed over by district chief executive Josef Laumer, senior civil servant Florian Hölzl, Erich Brunner and mayor Fritz Schötz. We were very pleased about that. It is a big honor and obligation at the same time.
STEFAN DIETL NAMED TO AMBASSADOR FOR LOWER BAVARIA
„Who God loves this one will be fallen by Him in our wonderful country Lower Bavaria ...“ and thus I am very proud that I has been named as a new ambassador of my homeland – beside ice hockey legend Erich Kühnhackl, Olympic winner and world champion Severin Freud and „Wochenblatt“ publisher Herbert Zelzer. A big award but also a reward for the performance of a great hotel team and our music.

The „Singender Wirt“ (singing host) was awarded to 50th existing of the Hotel Mariandl at the IHK spring board meeting on May 15th, 2013 – it is an appreciation for the successful development and rewards to the Lower Bavarian economy.
BEST OF THE BEST
GOLD FOR THE HOTEL MARIANDL
Hundreds of hotels and ten thousands of guests have participated in this unique public vote for more than 15 years. The hotel guests rate by means of voting cards how comfortable they have felt at the hotel. At the beginning of the year, the ranking lists of the hotels are made by star categories and the best 50 hotels receive the award „most popular hotel in Germany“. In 2007, more than 50000 guests participated in this voting. The quality of the hotels convince the guests who rate by the means of voting cards how comfortable they have felt at the hotel. Now, the Hotel Mariandl in Elisabethszell got a gold trophy „BEST OF THE BEST“ because it has been selected in sequence to the „most popular hotels in Germany“ for years and it always belonged to the three best ones. Only two hotels received this award in gold at the prize ceremony - Hotel Heede and Hotel Mariandl in Elisabethszell. Hotel operator Stefan Dietl was pleased about this honor and furthermore he was happy about the third place in the competition „most popular hotel in Germany“. After well-known TV presenters like news spokesman Jan Hofer who already moderated this gala, they wanted to have an insider from the business this year. That's why they decided to take Stefan Dietl who confidently presented the award ceremony in the Max-Taut hall and moderated in a cool way from the eyes of a gastronomer and told jokes which came directly from a gastronomer's soul. Therefore he was rewarded with a lot of applause.
STEFAN DIETL MUSICIAN KING AT „ACHIM'S HITPARADE“
Our Stefan made it and convinced the audience with his song „Ein Mutterherz“ (a mother's heart). He became the „Musikantenkönig“ (musician king) of the popular TV music show „Achim's Hitparade“ with Achim Menzel on television station MDR.

AWARDED AS EVENT HOTEL OF THE YEAR
The impressing atmosphere of the HOGA night were framed by the wonderful setting of the Palazzo by Alfons Schubeck, the worth seeing programme with the theme „Der Ball des Grafen“ (The earl's ball) and gorgeous delicacies. The presentation of the HOGA star award was a highlight. Stefan Dietl could receive the prize for his hotel in the category „event hotel of the year“. The unique commitment of Stefan Dietl and his team was given proof of again.
